Q: What is the difference between the EchoVision Pioneer Edition and the V1 Edition?

A: The Pioneer Edition is our early-access release, designed for those who want to help shape the future of EchoVision today. The V1 Edition, previously called “Final” Edition, shipping in August, includes several hardware refinements based on early feedback:

  • Battery Life: The V1 Edition features a 50% increase in battery capacity for longer Live AI and support sessions.
  • Hinge Design: An upgraded hinge provides smoother, more tactile friction when opening or closing the arms.
  • Upgrade Path: Pioneer users receive a complimentary upgrade to the V1 Edition hardware within 12 months of receiving their initial Pioneer unit. *Not applied to customers who pre-ordered before October 2025.

Q: Can I change my frame or lens options during the upgrade?

A: To ensure a smooth transition, your lens options will remain the same as your original order when you receive your upgrade. For Pioneers who opted for clear lenses to receive early access, your V1 Edition will be shipped according to the specific configuration you provided in your original form.

Q: Does the 12-month warranty reset? 

A: Yes! Your 12-month manufacturer’s warranty will reset and begin on the day you receive your upgraded V1 Edition hardware.

Q: I pre-ordered before October 2025. What happens to my "Lifetime Subscription" during the hardware swap? 

A: Don't worry—your status as a lifetime supporter is fully protected! To clarify our hardware path: the Pioneer device is our early-access unit, while the V1 Edition is the official production product shipped to fulfill pre-orders. Your free subscription will remain active for the entire lifespan of your V1 hardware. Once you receive your V1 upgrade, your subscription will carry over automatically, ensuring you continue to enjoy all the features and benefits of EchoVision for as long as you own the device.

II. Invitation-only phase

Q: Why am I unable to access the cart or complete my checkout? 

A: To ensure we can provide personalized onboarding and high-quality support to every new user, EchoVision is currently in an invitation-only phase. You will need a valid invitation code to proceed to the checkout page.

Q: Where can I obtain an invitation code? 

A: Invitation codes are exclusively distributed by our early supporters—specifically those who pre-ordered EchoVision through October 2025.

Q: I don’t know any current users personally. Where can I find someone with a code? 

A: If you aren't connected with a current user, the best place to find a code is within our community. Many of our Pioneers are active on EchoVision Facebook Group and Google Group and are happy to share their invitations with those ready to join.

Q: I pre-ordered before October 2025. How many people can I share my code with? 

A: We encourage you to share the gift of independence! Each unique invitation code can be redeemed by up to 25 individuals.

Q: Are there any specific benefits to using an invitation code? 

A: Yes. In addition to gaining immediate access to purchase a device, anyone who joins via an invitation code will receive six months of our premium subscription at no cost.

III. Subscription & Billing

Q: What is included in an EchoVision subscription?

A: EchoVision offers different subscription tiers designed to fit different usage needs, ranging from casual daily assistance to professional-grade independence.

  • Explorer (Free): Curious Beginnings: For those ready to discover how AI can change the way they see the world. Includes unlimited Q&A sessions, 5 min of Live AI sessions, and 100 pages of reading per month, plus a standard 12-month warranty.
  • Independence ($9.99/mo introductory rate): Live on Your Terms: Designed for the daily desire to move, read, and explore without having to ask for a hand. Includes unlimited Q&A, 90 min of Live AI sessions, and 1000 pages of reading. This tier also extends your warranty to up to 24 months as long as the user remains in this tier.

Q: What happens if I run out of my monthly quota?

A: If you run out of Live AI or Reading credits, you have three easy options:

  1. Upgrade your tier anytime via the companion app for immediate access.
  2. Purchase a Top-up Pack (e.g., $15 for 30 Live AI sessions or $15 for 1000 reading pages). These credits never expire.
  3. Wait for the reset on the first day of your next billing cycle.

Q: I pre-ordered EchoVision early on. Will I be charged for a subscription? 

A: No. As a gesture of our deep gratitude for your early trust in our mission, all customers who pre-ordered EchoVision through October 2025 are recognized as Founding Pioneers. You will enjoy unlimited personal usage of our AI services for the lifetime of your device at no additional cost.

IV. Daily Use & Compatibility

Q: Is a smart phone needed to use EchoVision?

A: You need the EchoVision App for the initial setup of your glasses and to download essential software updates.

To connect to our AI services while you are mobile, EchoVision typically uses your phone's cellular data via a mobile hotspot.

However, once set up and connected to a local Wi-Fi network (like at your home or office), the EchoVision glasses can operate on their own, independent of your phone.

Q: Does EchoVision need a data plan to work?

A: No. You don't need a separate plan for EchoVision. The glasses are designed to work with your current home Wi-Fi or your phone's mobile data. Simply connect the glasses to your phone’s hotspot when you're out and about, and you’re all set!

Q: Do I always need a mobile hotspot? 

A: Currently, EchoVision uses Wi-Fi for faster data transfer, which often requires a phone’s mobile hotspot outdoors. 

Q: Does EchoVision APP support both iOS and Android?

A: Yes. We have a dedicated companion app available for both platforms. To ensure the best experience, please check that your device meets the following requirements:

  • iOS: iPhone 8 or newer, running iOS 16.6 or later.
  • Android: Any device running Android 11 or later.

Q: Can I still use the glasses as a Bluetooth headset without a subscription?

A: Yes. The basic functions (like using the glasses as speakers or for phone calls) remain available even if for the free tier subscription.

Q: Will the glasses work offline? 

A: Currently, the glasses require a cloud connection for advanced AI features. However, you can always use them as Bluetooth speakers or to record local photos and videos. We are actively developing an offline OCR/Reading mode for a future update.

Q: Are they compatible with hearing aids? 

A: Many users have successfully used EchoVision with hearing aids. Because models vary, we recommend sharing your specific brand and model with us at contact@agiga.ai so we can prioritize testing for your device.

Q: Can I get prescription or tinted lenses? 

A: Yes! We offer clear and tinted lenses, as well as sunglass clip-ons. To order prescription lenses, please email your prescription to prescription@agiga.ai, and we will customize your glasses before shipping. Please be aware that glasses with prescription lenses take longer to process. 

Q: Are the glasses safe for travel? 

A: Absolutely. EchoVision is safe for travel and can pass through TSA airport scanners without being removed.

Q: Can I buy EchoVision if I live outside of the US?

A: Currently, EchoVision is only available for direct shipping to the United States and Canada.

Q: What are the languages supported by EchoVision?

A: EchoVision currently supports English only for its initial release. However, the team is actively tracking localization requests for future updates.

V. Returns & Support

Q: Is there a trial period?

A: For pioneer edition, you can receive a full refund within 30 days of product receipt if you are unsatisfied.

However, once you choose to upgrade to the V1 edition, the product is no longer eligible for a return.

A: Absolutely. Every pair of EchoVision glasses includes a standard 12-month manufacturer's warranty to protect against any defects.

If you are a member of our Pioneer Edition program, your 12-month warranty will actually reset the day you receive your upgraded V1 Edition hardware, giving you a fresh year of coverage. Additionally, our Home and Pro subscription tiers offer extended warranty options for even greater peace of mind.

Q: Will my glasses be updated over time? Is there a cost for these updates?

A: Absolutely. We believe EchoVision should get better the longer you own it. Our team of engineers is constantly working to improve AI accuracy and introduce new features based on your feedback. All software updates are completely free and are delivered wirelessly through the EchoVision companion app, ensuring your glasses are always running our latest and most powerful technology.
