EchoVision Wish List: Live AI
Last updated:
Live AI, the mode you can talk with while it watches.
Part of the EchoVision Wish List. See also how we decide on ideas.
12 ideas: 3 planned, 5 under review, 3 released and 1 merged.
Planned
LIVE-02: Task modes, like watching for my ride
- Status: Planned. One of the most requested items. Examples: "tell me when my ride arrives", "only tell me about exits and signs", identifying money.
- What owners asked: Are you working on any specialized subset "task modes" like find my water bottle, find me an empty seat or find me the most attractive man/woman in the bar?

LIVE-03: Describe what I'm holding first, in Live AI
- Status: Planned.
- What owners asked: If we're holding something like a food product right in the foreground, should LiveAI assume we want priority given to describing it without having to ask?
- Related: SCENE-02: Describe what I'm holding first
LIVE-08: Turn clock-face directions on or off
- Status: Planned.
- What owners asked: Could the use of clock-style orientation be a toggle? It's not always super accurate and because of the lag, if we've moved, it's no longer relevant anyway. (If left-right interpretation can continue to be improved, some users may prefer this as simpler than constant clock-face related commentary.)
Under review
LIVE-04: Saved prompts
- Status: Under review. Thanks for the use cases: quiet meetings, loud places, repeated tasks, and a gesture that runs a saved prompt.
- What owners asked: Could we store certain prompts somewhere in the app and activate them or send one to the glasses by typing it instead of having to yell in a loud environment? Alternatively, could we simply say something like "prompt 1", "prompt 2", etc. where we've saved a list somewhere?

LIVE-09: A Live AI verbosity setting and quiet mode
- Status: Under review.
- What owners asked: Could Live AI have its own verbosity setting, including a quiet mode that speaks only when I ask or when something changes?
- Related: LIVE-07: Stop repeating that nothing has changed
LIVE-10: Ignore certain words, like guide-dog commands
- Status: Under review. Muting the microphone is already available: in Live AI, single-tap the touchpad to mute or unmute.
- What owners asked: Could I tell Live AI to ignore certain words, like guide-dog commands?
LIVE-11: Read signs, labels and displays aloud
- Status: Under review.
- What owners asked: Could Live AI read signs, labels and displays aloud instead of just saying there is text?
- Related: SCENE-06: Read clocks, dials and screens more reliably
LIVE-12: AI confidence level feedback and control
- Status: Under review.
- What owners asked: Live AI sometimes gives wrong answers when it presumably has trouble deciphering what it is seeing. Would it be possible to have Live AI express its level of confidence in the accuracy of its response when that level is below a certain threshold?

- Discussed in: Live AI Hallucinations, on the pioneers list (members only)

Released
LIVE-01: Ignore other voices and noises
- Status: Released. Model tuned to ignore background noise and voices. Tuning for noisy places continues.
- What owners asked: Are you working on anything so that other voices, sighs, coughs or even the enthusiastic passing of gas stops interrupting a LiveAI session?
LIVE-05: Use Live AI through a Bluetooth speaker
- Status: Released. Echo cancellation for external speakers added in August 2026.
- What owners asked: Could it be implemented that LiveAI doesn't "hear" it's own voice so we could play it through a bluetooth speaker for demo purposes? (Perhaps similar to how people we're talking with on the phone don't hear anything our Voiceover is saying, so it gets filtered out somehow)
LIVE-07: Stop repeating that nothing has changed
- Status: Released. Toggle added in February 2026: in the companion app, see Settings > Device Management > Continuous Live AI Updates.
- What owners asked: If there's nothing new to describe, can you please have the glasses not repeat this to me every 3 seconds! Or, could this maybe be a toggle under settings?

Merged
LIVE-06: Warn when text is blank, upside down or sideways, in Live AI
- Status: Merged.
- Merged into: READ-03: Warn when a page is blank, upside down or sideways
- What owners asked: If I try to read something that's blank or upside down or rotated 90 degrees to the left or right, can this be announced first so I can reposition it?
