GEN-18: Glasses' feedback time limit expansion

Last updated:

Part of the EchoVision Wish List, under General.

  • Status: Under review. Today you can already send detailed written feedback, with no time limit, from the app under Settings > Support > Send Feedback, or by email to AGIGA support; see Support in the user guide and our Contact page. A longer recording from the glasses is under review.
  • What owners asked: Currently, when I press the AI Action button five times to submit feedback through the glasses, the recording is limited to 60 seconds. This isn't enough time for me to explain many technical issues or feature requests. Even when I prepare a relatively short message in advance, I sometimes cannot finish speaking within the 60-second limit, and my feedback may be submitted incomplete. Would AGIGA consider removing this time limit entirely, or at least allowing significantly longer recordings? I'd also appreciate an accessible way to submit detailed written feedback directly through the EchoVision app.

The need

Pressing the AI button five times sends a report with a spoken description, but the recording stops after 60 seconds. Owners describing a technical problem or a feature request often need longer, even with a message prepared in advance, so the report can arrive cut off.

Today's workaround

  • In the app, go to Settings > Support > Send Feedback. Type as much detail as you need in the Description field, and add a voice recording if you like.
  • Or email support@agiga.ai. For a feature request, start the subject with "Wish List:".

What it would look like

  • The five-press recording runs longer, for example several minutes, or until you press the AI button once to finish.
  • The glasses give a spoken or sound warning shortly before any limit is reached, so you can wrap up.
  • No new button or gesture: pressing the AI button once still ends the recording.

Pros and cons

  • Pro: complete reports from the glasses, without reaching for the phone.
  • Pro: fewer cut-off reports for engineers to follow up on.
  • Con: longer recordings take longer to upload, especially on a slow connection or hotspot.
  • Con: an open-ended recording may keep going if the owner forgets to press to finish.

Open questions

  • What longer limit, if any, should replace 60 seconds?
  • Should the glasses warn before the limit, and how?
  • Could a recording that hits the limit continue as a second part instead of stopping?
